Greetings everyone it’s a new year and it’s a fantastic one at that!
Every year it’s traditional to make a new year’s resolution.
One thing to change or do better this year than the year before.
Every year it’s the same old story, you gave up on your new “resolution” only a few weeks into the new year, and nothing really changed.
You tell yourself every year that you are going to follow through with your resolution, and every year you fail.
There’s a simple 100% guaranteed way that you will never fail to meet your new year’s resolution ever again.
Don’t make a resolution in the first place!
Seriously, an empty promise is just another excuse not to accomplish your goals.
Don’t make resolutions make goals, then break down your goals into simple practical steps that you can easily accomplish in one day.
If you put in a little bit of work today, and a little the next day, and a little the day after etc. You WILL accomplish your goal eventually.
You can never change your whole life in one step, change is a progressive thing which takes a long time.
All it takes is a little bit, and then a little more and a little more.
To be absolutely CERTAIN you don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying to do one push up today, and then one tomorrow, and then one the next day. You will never get anywhere doing that pathetic game.
I mean do your best from the start. If one push up is all you can do in a day then do the one push up today. Then do one push up tomorrow, and a couple of hours make sure to do a second push up before the sun sets. The next day do 3 push ups, the day after do 4, the day after do 5. If you can do more, do more.
The number doesn’t matter as long as you give your very best, and put forth genuine effort EVERY day.
Make it a game, make it a competition to best yourself. If push ups get boring, try barbel squats, then dumbbell curls, etc, etc, etc.
Throw the excuses out the window. Excuses are for the other guys.
Until next time ——- Seeker
