People always tell you dress for success, they tell you to always look your best, but why?
Surely there MUST be a reason why people say this.
It turns out this phenomenon has been well documented it’s called the “halo effect”. In simple terms, one aspect of a person’s appearance changes your entire perception of them. The original example is the old depictions of catholic saints, they usually have a halo.
From that halo you determine that this person must be someone special and you view them in a positive light.
The inverse is the horns effect in which one aspect of a person’s outward appearance taints your perception of their character.
People tell you “you can never judge a book by its cover”, but the simple cold hard reality is that people DO judge books by their cover and they DO judge people by appearances.
I went into a gas station one time and there was this tough looking biker in his mid to early 40’s. He was muscular, and had tattoos, he looked like someone you generally wouldn’t want to mess with. The amazing thing was that this man was the most soft spoken well mannered guy I have ever met, and you would never know it by looking at him.
I realized I had judged him by his appearances, and that most likely everyone else did too.
Appearances matter they dictate everything about where you’re allowed to go and what you’re allowed to do.

If you look the part you can go anywhere.
How about this guy? http://www.traitsofthealphamale.com/77/25-traits-of-an-alpha-male/
I guarantee you that you would respect him and be polite just because he looks prestigious, even if he was scant broke.
Victor pride says it like nobody else does.
Look your best BE your best always.
